Hey there! I’m Stephanie. Actor/dancer based in NYC, born and raised right here in New York… not really.
I was born in upstate New York, but I somehow ended up hopping around all throughout my life, spending roughly half my life in Korea and the other half in the States. I technically never “graduated” elementary school and middle school because I kept jumping back and forth between the two countries! After safely graduating high school, however, I came to New York to attend NYU Tisch.
I trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, with amazing teachers like Ron Burrus, Alithea Phillips, Mike Grenham, and Antonio Merenda. I then did a semester of dance at Peridance Center in the ballet/contemporary track, where I had the pleasure of training with teachers such as Laura Rae Bernasconi, Laurie De Vito, and Anabella Lenzu. A year later, I did a semester at Stonestreet, where I met the amazing Cormac Bluestone, Gil Zabarsky, Rebecca Yarsin, and Malcolm Mills. When not acting, dancing, or scrolling through casting websites, I’m usually translating literary works from both Korean to English and English to Korean.
I also spend an embarrassing amount of time watching The Office and Modern Family on endless repeat. On occasion, I enjoy annoying my neighbors by playing the piano or the cello.
